About The Position

Mount Sinai Medical Center is seeking a Senior Management Engineer to lead data-driven initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and achieving cost savings. This role involves developing and improving reports, dashboards, and analyses to support strategic decision-making. The engineer will conduct on-site evaluations, provide actionable recommendations, and serve as a subject matter expert. Key responsibilities include leading projects, collaborating with senior leadership, and driving strategic initiatives with measurable outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, communication, and change management skills, along with an advanced understanding of business operations.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Accounting or Finance.
1-3 years of related experience.
Advanced understanding of business operations.
Strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Support the department with the creation/enhancement of reports/dashboards and ad-hoc analyses to drive cost-savings initiatives and decision-making.
Conduct on-site observations and provide summaries of findings/recommendations.
Take the lead on certain projects and be involved in decision-making.
Understand data sources, how data is captured, and its interaction with other sources.
Create, edit, and modify reports as needed.
Provide support for analytics, understand data sources, and identify disparities between them.
Proactively identify issues and work to resolve them.
Utilize available resources to expedite analysis.
Schedule meetings with departments and contribute substantially to meetings.
Run meetings, including those with senior leadership, from start to finish.
Clearly communicate expectations, reports, deliverables, etc., verbally and in writing to departments, directors, and senior management.
Demonstrate an advanced understanding of business functions and thoroughly evaluate projects for feasibility and risk.
Serve as a subject matter expert in their areas and be able to train in certain topics.
Understand analytics to recommend new initiatives.
Deliver consistent, quantifiable results to the pipeline of initiatives.
Drive initiatives with minimal intervention.
Define action plans for all initiatives immediately with target dates.
Demonstrate the ability to understand different perspectives of complex issues, focus on the most relevant topics, and build consensus/change behaviors where required.
Identify innovative ways to minimize non-value-added or repetitive tasks to focus on the bigger picture.
Identify appropriate measures of success for projects.
Perform all other assigned tasks.
