About The Position

As the fastest-growing distributor of restaurant equipment, HVAC and residential appliance parts, Parts Town is looking for a Senior Maintenance Technician, internally known as the Automation Whisperer. This role is the top-level support for the mechanical systems in the Fulfillment Center. The technician will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting complex problems, and performing mission-critical repairs on equipment to ensure the Fulfillment Center remains fully operational. This role involves working closely with vendors and internal partners to diagnose and repair a wide range of material handling equipment, supporting safe and efficient operations.

Requirements

5+ years of mechanical experience in an automated distribution center environment.
Experience with powered conveyors, sorters, and other automated material handling equipment.
Proficiency in troubleshooting complex electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and computer-controlled equipment in an industrial setting.
Ability to perform complex equipment repairs with remote support.
Experience reading technical manuals and blueprints.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel infrequently to other facilities.
Fluent in English (written and verbal).
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to perform 8 or more hours of standing, bending, lifting, walking, and carrying products.
Vehicle certified or willing to become certified.
Enjoy working in a busy warehouse environment with varying temperatures and sounds.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced preventative maintenance on conveyor systems, including sorters, powered conveyors, and truck loaders.
Diagnose root causes of complex problems using knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and computer-controlled equipment.
Perform emergency repairs on complex equipment.
Train level 2 technicians and apprentices in maintenance, repair, and inspection methods.
Conduct daily visual and auditory inspections of equipment and address any issues.
Perform advanced diagnostic tests and coordinate support with third-party vendors.
Act as top-level support for fire/sprinkler systems, standby generators, HVAC equipment, and other fulfillment center equipment.
Utilize tools and equipment such as ladders, forklifts, scissor lifts, saws, drills, and hand tools.
Partner with Fulfillment Center leadership to understand operational needs and support changes through planning and execution.
