Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Proficient knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical skills daily to diagnose and repair a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues, ensuring all hotel systems function seamlessly.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities enable the technician to quickly identify root causes of problems and implement effective solutions, minimizing downtime.
  • Communication skills are essential for coordinating with hotel staff, vendors, and contractors to schedule maintenance activities and explain technical issues clearly.
  • Organizational skills support maintaining detailed maintenance records and managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Leadership and mentoring skills are applied to guide junior technicians, fostering a collaborative and skilled maintenance team.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing trades.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations such as OSHA.
  • Previous experience working in a hotel or similar hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal operation.
  • Diagnose and repair complex equipment malfunctions and facility issues promptly to minimize guest inconvenience.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs using the hotel’s management system.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance projects as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and hotel policies while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior maintenance staff to enhance team capabilities.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests 24/7 to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
