About The Position

Join us as a Senior Maintenance Mechanic at Greenspring Village by Erickson Senior Living, a beautiful 58-acre continuing care retirement community in Springfield, Virginia. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and smoothly operating environment for residents. You will lead by example, sharing your knowledge and maintenance techniques with the team, and overseeing the overall condition of your assigned neighborhood. Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a residential apartment complex, construction, or commercial building maintenance
  • Must possess a working knowledge of residential building maintenance to include, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, flooring, and appliances
  • Should have a working knowledge of HVAC
  • Will be expected to work a reasonable amount of scheduled and “on-call” overtime as necessary
  • Be able to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must possess current EPA certification to handle refrigerants

Responsibilities

  • Perform necessary maintenance of HVAC equipment as assigned
  • Perform all necessary scheduled preventive maintenance procedures on designated equipment while following manufacturer’s recommendation
  • Respond to emergency calls for system and equipment failure
  • Serve as the lead mechanic in assigned area(s) and will be responsible for the overall condition of the neighborhood(s)
