About The Position

Innophos is seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance team at our Chicago Heights, IL manufacturing facility. You'll oversee a 24/7 chemical manufacturing operation, driving improvements in safety, equipment reliability, maintenance performance, team development, and operational efficiency. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Preferred fields of study: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering
  • 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • 5+ years leading an industrial maintenance organization.
  • Experience with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)
  • Experience with SMED
  • Experience with 5S
  • Experience with Autonomous Maintenance
  • Experience with Maintenance storeroom operations and management
  • Experience with Reliability improvement methods and equipment failure analysis.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Experience with Industrial safety programs, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Line Entry, Confined Space, and Hot Work.
  • Experience with Powerhouse, utilities, and plant infrastructure management.
  • Experience with Project management from concept through execution.
  • Knowledge of industrial maintenance repair, installation standards, codes, and specifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a food-grade manufacturing environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the maintenance team while promoting a strong culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee maintenance, utilities, and facility operations supporting a 24/7 manufacturing plant, including equipment, machinery, buildings, grounds, and utility systems.
  • Plan, schedule, and ensure timely completion of maintenance work.
  • Partner with Operations to prioritize maintenance activities, support production goals, and minimize downtime.
  • Manage preventive maintenance and mechanical integrity programs to improve equipment reliability.
  • Oversee the maintenance department budget and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and control costs.
  • Develop safety training and employee development programs to strengthen team capabilities.
  • Monitor department safety performance and housekeeping standards.
  • Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) for equipment failures and safety incidents, and implement corrective actions.
  • Track maintenance KPIs and use data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with management, employees, and union representatives to resolve workplace issues.
  • Support hiring, promotions, transfers, performance management, and other personnel decisions.
  • Assign work and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Coach and develop employees.
  • Build team skills and capabilities.
  • Support labor relations and union interactions.
