Role Description: Hands on Team Lead who Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in maintaining and repairing physical structures of buildings, machinery and maintaining grounds by performing the following duties. Focus on stamping and support equipment.

Requirements

  • Journeyman status in Machine Repair, Millwright, or Electrical preferred.
  • 10 years experience in skilled trades.
  • Three (3) or more years of direct leadership experience of an hourly workforce
  • Five (5) or more years of Maintenance experience in a Manufacturing environment
  • Five (5) or more years of auto-supplier, steel stamping experience
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • A hands on approach is required for this position. You will be working alongside the team to resolve issues as they arise.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coordinate, schedule and review the activities of the Maintenance Associates
  • Drive effort and lead team by example with strong communication and ensuring technicians add system notes on machine down time
  • Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment using electronic, electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Plan and direct maintenance activities for the shift and establish priorities for projects in keeping with effective operations and cost factors
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with production control, tool room and quality control to obtain optimum production and utilization of manpower, machine and equipment
  • Review and analysis of production, quality maintenance and operational reports to determine causes of production problems
  • Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variances with supervisors and other maintenance associates
  • Consult with production personnel related to modification of machines and equipment to improve production and quality of products
  • Initiate purchase orders for parts and machines within monthly budgets
  • Adhere to all safety regulations
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping habits (5S)
  • Maintain compliance with organizational policies, and safety hazards
  • Actively participate in Production, 5Why/RCA, and other problem-solving meetings
