About The Position

Rent Prosper is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Maintenance & HVAC Technician for their Single Family Rentals division. This field-based role involves managing maintenance requests across a portfolio of single-family homes, townhomes, duplexes, and condos in the Orlando area. The position requires hands-on maintenance experience, strong HVAC skills, and a positive attitude. The role is not a desk job and involves daily driving to properties to address work orders and solve problems.

Requirements

7+ years of experience in maintenance at apartments or rental properties
7+ years of residential HVAC troubleshooting, repairs, and full system installations
Experience with older properties (1980s through 2000s), fixtures, and appliances
EPA Certification required
Valid driver's license required
Comfortable with significant daily driving as a core part of your workday
Comfortable with a pre-employment background screening
Positive communicator who takes pride in 5-star resident service

Responsibilities

Troubleshooting issues across various brands and models of HVAC systems (10+ year old residential systems)
Repair, remove, and replace HVAC parts including coils, Freon, compressors, fans, capacitors, drain lines, and more
Perform full HVAC system installations including air handlers and compressors
Troubleshooting various brands and models of appliances (10+ year old residential appliances)
Repair, remove, and replace appliances such as stoves, refrigerators, washers, dryers, microwaves, and more
Remove and replace plumbing fixtures including toilets, sinks, faucets, and shower heads
Service water supply lines, shutoff valves, bath and shower valves
Repair or replace water heaters and garbage disposals
Remove and replace electrical components like light and fan fixtures, switches, and receptacles
Install and connect appliances (OTR microwaves, dishwashers, garbage disposals, etc.)
Perform minor drywall repairs and patches
Apply and blend texture for drywall repairs
Perform touch-up painting
Conduct minor cabinet and countertop repairs
Log time in and time out for all jobs
Take before and after photos of every repair
List all materials used and submit receipts
