We are seeking a senior Machine Learning engineer who is passionate about shaping the future of Apple products and excited to contribute to the next wave of transformative Computer Vision experiences. You will be working on next generation video and motion analysis&synthesis projects in our Machine Learning and Computer Vision research and development team in Zurich, Switzerland, combining modern Machine Learning approaches with geometric knowledge from Computer Vision and Computer Graphics. We are improving existing technology as well as developing completely new approaches to enhance the way we interact with devices. Because we integrate tightly with the hardware platform and even influence its design we are able to create products that are extremely fast, power efficient, and accurate. This position requires highly-motivated individuals who want to join us in the fast-moving field of large-scale models for human-centric 3D and 4D representations. In your role, you will own product-relevant features, lead projects as an innovator and technical expert, and assume responsibility for architectural decisions. Your impact will reach beyond organizational boundaries and set the direction for future products.
Requirements
- In-depth understanding of Machine Learning principles
- In-depth understanding of 3D Geometry, Motion Synthesis and Computer Vision
- Strong understanding of generative models and/or multi-modal foundation models
- Experience in working on large-scale projects with good software development principles
- Experience in lead architect role, leading large-scale projects and influencing product directions
- Experience in Python, deep learning and data analysis frameworks (PyTorch, pandas, and similar)
- Strong written and verbal communication in English
- 5+ years of industry experience
- PhD or Masters degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, Data Science or equivalent
- Willingness to pick up novel tasks and acquire new skills
- Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills
- Scientific mindset and data-driven approach to problem solving
Nice To Haves
- Publication record at top conferences such as CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, NeurIPS or SIGGRAPH is a plus.
