Senior Machine Learning Engineer II - FlightAware (Remote)

RTX•Washington, DC
•$132,400 - $251,600•Remote

About The Position

As a Machine Learning Engineer on FlightAware's Aviation Intelligence team, you will build the next generation of machine learning models for new Foresight products and improve existing models. These models help improve the operational efficiency of major airlines and airports. The Predict crew builds machine learning systems using extensive historical data and hundreds of millions of examples to predict runway landing times, gate arrival times, taxi durations, and other aviation measures. The models power FlightAware Foresight, which streams live predictive aviation data to major industry customers. This role is on a small team within a large organization and is intended to grow into a contributor who brings ideas, not only executes them. Work includes open-ended problems involving large datasets, model performance and efficiency, and applying mathematical and statistical skills. Improvements to the products support airline and airport operations and can help travelers avoid missed flights and delays.
