Senior Logistics Planning & Analytics Analyst

Blackwood Solutions•Bloomington, IN
•Onsite

About The Position

Working directly with the Director of Operations and Operations leadership, you’ll lead the planning, analysis, and process improvements that strengthen our nationwide logistics operation. You’ll own initiatives to get more out of our existing trucks and drivers. That means learning both our new pole and recycling logistics, including equipment needs, loading and unloading, customer requirements, and scheduling. With that knowledge, you’ll find ways to connect new pole deliveries with recycling pickups, reduce empty miles, and keep our fleet productive all week. You’ll also need a strong grasp of dynamic routing, adjusting plans as customer needs, driver availability, equipment locations, and field conditions change. AI tools will be part of your daily work, helping you sharpen analysis, streamline reporting, and spot new opportunities. Just as important, you’ll turn recommendations into changes the team can adopt. That means building implementation plans, setting responsibilities and timelines, training the team, and following through until new processes become daily habits. You’ll also manage load closeout, making sure every load is accurately documented and finalized in Truckpedia within three days of delivery so customers can be billed on time. This is a senior role that blends technical analysis, operational judgment, and hands-on implementation, with the opportunity to guide a direct report. Help Logistics Specialists plan routes and keep drivers and trucks well utilized.
