About The Position

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Logistics Manager located at the Hanscom AFB, MA supporting the Special Programs Division (AFLCMO/HNJ). The Senior Logistics Manager will advise, perform, and/or lead logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, evaluating, and executing the logistical actions required to support a specified mission, weapons system, or other designated program. This role requires a deep understanding of DoD acquisition and product support planning.

Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must hold an active Top-Secret Clearance
  • 12 years of directly relevant experience, 5 of which must be in the DoD
  • OR BA/BS degree and 8 years of experience, 4 of which must be in the DoD.

Responsibilities

  • Advise, perform, and/or lead logistics management operations including planning, coordinating, evaluating, and executing logistical actions to support a specified mission, weapons system, or program.
  • Serve as the trusted logistics advisor, crafting and delivering expert ILS solutions supporting advanced systems for the warfighter, influencing sustainment decisions and system suitability.
  • Design operational excellence by diving deep into technical analysis and operational scenarios to ensure systems achieve required suitability for real-world performance.
  • Lead and coordinate all logistics functions, including maintenance strategy, training programs, procurement, supply chain visibility, packaging, handling, and OCONUS transportation.
  • Plan and coordinate mission-critical logistics operations, aligning funding, manpower, materiel, and facilities with program schedules for flawless execution.
  • Provide regular analytical support on logistics metrics such as supply levels, reliability, and maintainability, feeding them into major logistics reviews for informed decision-making.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of the DoD acquisition lifecycle and product support planning under the DoD 5000-series framework.
  • Drive sustainment readiness by conducting Logistics Health Assessments (LHAs), developing Life-Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs), and contributing to technical requirements, provisioning, interface control, and system support documentation.
  • Lead logistics at key technical events, representing logistics leadership at TIMs, design reviews, provisioning briefs, IPT discussions, working group meetings, and staff reviews.
  • Collaborate closely with government and contractor logistics personnel, integrators, and product support teams to provide expert input on maintenance strategies, modifications, and acquisition planning.
  • Be ready to mobilize and travel domestically and internationally, supporting logistics efforts at CONUS and OCONUS locations as directed.
  • Articulate operational impacts to leadership.
