About The Position

We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Logistics Manager to spearhead our centralized dispatch operations and drive strategic fleet efficiency. This role is designed for a leader who excels in high-stakes environments, capable of managing complex carrier relationships and implementing process overhauls that yield measurable financial results. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between high-level strategic planning and daily execution.

Requirements

7+ years in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership or supervisory role.
Proven ability to lead teams through organizational transitions using frameworks like Kotter’s 8-Step Process.
Proficiency in advanced TMS (Transportation Management Systems), fleet maintenance software, and geospatial mapping tools for radius-based costing.
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Exceptional professional writing skills for drafting performance reviews, award nominations, and executive-level strategic summaries.
Ability to forecast freight market trends and fuel price volatility.
Mastery of SMART goal setting to drive departmental KPIs.
Strong stress management skills and the ability to maintain clarity in a fast-paced "always-on" logistics environment.
Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in operations, transportation, logistics, or a related environment.
Demonstrated experience managing multi-location operations and cross-functional teams.
Strong knowledge of transportation management, safety compliance and operational best practices.
Proven ability to analyze KPIs, operational data and performance metrics to drive decision-making.
Excellent leadership, communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, operational environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation or operations management systems.

Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day functions of the Centralized Dispatch System, ensuring optimal asset utilization and driver performance.
Identify and eliminate inefficiencies within the network; specifically targeting the reduction of deadhead miles and unnecessary fuel expenditures.
Collaborate with the Director of Operations to execute business plans that scale fleet capacity based on fluctuating shipping volumes (10%–20%+ thresholds).
Design and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for inventory management, parts receiving, and shop office workflows.
Serve as the primary point of contact for key industrial accounts, ensuring logistics solutions align with client manufacturing and distribution schedules.
Utilize data modeling to analyze cost-per-pound delivery zones and adjust fuel surcharges or stop-off fees dynamically.
