About The Position
We specialize in helping qualified homebuyers explore pathways to homeownership, including programs that may make purchasing a home possible with little to no money down and little to no funds needed for closing costs through select proprietary portfolio loan products. We need assistance with the buyers that are reaching out to us to learn how to become a homeowner. We’re seeking experienced, licensed Mortgage Loan Officers who share our commitment to simplifying the mortgage process and delivering an exceptional customer experience. This is more than a position for someone who simply wants to quote rates and take applications. We’re looking for loan officers who enjoy solving problems, building trust, communicating clearly, and helping borrowers accomplish something meaningful. Requirements
- Active Mortgage Loan Originator license and NMLS registration
- Previous mortgage origination experience
- Working knowledge of mortgage guidelines, income calculations, credit, assets, and loan structuring
- Strong customer-service and communication skills
- Exceptional organization, follow-up, and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple borrowers and transactions in a remote environment
- Comfortable using mortgage technology, CRM systems, video meetings, email, and phone communication
- A genuine desire to help more people successfully become homeowners
Nice To Haves
- Additional state licenses may be required based on assigned markets
Responsibilities
- Meet with prospective homebuyers and assess their financing needs
- Educate borrowers about available loan and homebuyer-assistance options
- Collect and review financial information and supporting documentation
- Structure appropriate loan scenarios based on each borrower’s circumstances
- Guide borrowers from the initial conversation through application, pre-approval, and closing
- Maintain accurate notes, records, and follow-up activities
- Proactively communicate with borrowers, agents, processors, and other transaction partners
- Provide responsive, professional service throughout the entire mortgage process
- Follow all company policies and applicable federal and state lending regulations
