The Senior Loan Officer - Mortgage is responsible for the sale of the Bank’s loan products and the loan products of Bank-approved investors or lenders. This role involves developing new business and business sources for the Bank through its Branch network, marketing efforts, and outside the Branch network. The position also focuses on strengthening awareness of the Bank, its history, and its services among customers, potential customers, and referral sources. A Mortgage Loan Officer must register in NMLS and remain registered throughout their employment. They may only secure loans through the Bank or Bank-approved investors or lenders. The role requires full education on and strict adherence to all applicable Bank policies and procedures, including those governing rate quotes and rate locking. Compliance with all federal, state, and local laws is mandatory. All loans must be priced according to the Bank of Hope-provided price sheet and all applicable fees must be collected as set forth in the Bank of Hope Corporate Fee Sheet, with no waivers permitted without prior written approval from a Branch or Regional Manager. This includes Application Fees, Appraisal Fees, Corporate Fees, and Administrative Fees associated with loan closing. The Senior Mortgage Loan Officer must use only Bank-provided data systems for loan processing, data capture, and business record generation, including the loan origination system, automated underwriting systems (if applicable), and payroll and accounting systems, without prior written consent from the Executive Vice President – Mortgage Lending for any other program or system.
