About The Position

Our established insurance defense law firm is seeking a highly organized and experienced Senior Litigation Secretary to join our team. If you have 3–7 years of insurance defense experience and thrive in a fast-paced legal environment, we'd love to hear from you. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation.

Requirements

3–7 years of litigation secretary experience in insurance defense required.
Strong knowledge of California court rules, filing procedures, and litigation deadlines.
Experience with California state and federal court e-filing.
Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
Ability to work independently while supporting multiple attorneys in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive administrative support to litigation attorneys.
Prepare, revise, and finalize legal documents, pleadings, discovery, motions, and correspondence.
File documents in California state and federal courts, including e-filing.
Maintain attorney calendars, schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings.
Coordinate service of process and manage deadlines to ensure compliance with court rules.
Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files.
Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and vendors.
Assist with trial preparation, including assembling trial notebooks, exhibits, and witness materials.
Enter attorney time and assist with billing as needed.
