About The Position

Kovitz Shifrin Nesbit is seeking a Senior Paralegal for its Litigation Department. The firm specializes in representing homeowner, condominium, and community associations. The role includes billable paralegal work and non-billable administrative tasks. The candidate may work from the Lincolnshire or Chicago office. The position requires at least 60–90 days of in-office training. After successfully completing that period, the schedule transitions to hybrid, with one required in-office day per week. The position is exempt and has hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Salary is $70,000–$85,000 per year, depending on experience.

Requirements

At least 5 years of practical litigation experience as a paralegal.
Strong drafting and legal writing skills.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Highly detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handle complex tasks, and meet daily deadlines.
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to specialized firm software.

Proficiency with department-related software and technology, including LexisAdvance, Westlaw, iManage, Juris, Juris Suite, Vision, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Relativity, Scarab, and other relevant tools.

Responsibilities

Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents as needed.
Prepare and respond to written discovery requests and oversee the assembly and management of document production.
Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve inquiries or concerns from property managers and board members.
Perform billable paralegal work and non-billable administrative tasks.
