About The Position

The organization is seeking a System Engineer with experience in networking, systems software, and virtualization to manage, optimize, and troubleshoot Linux-based infrastructure and virtualized environments.

Requirements

  • Experience in networking, systems software, and virtualization.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux internals, system boot, systemd, networking, and performance troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with KVM, QEMU, libvirt, virtual networking, and virtual NICs.
  • Solid understanding of networking technologies, including IPv4, NICs, Linux bridges, bonding, VLAN, routing, DHCP, DNS, and firewalling.
  • Experience with SR-IOV, PCI passthrough, DPDK, and Open vSwitch (OVS).
  • Proficiency in Python and shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with REST/RESTCONF APIs, NETCONF, and YANG.
  • Experience managing Linux services, RPM-based distributions, and packaging.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot production issues using logs, core dumps, packet captures, and traces.
  • Deep understanding of kernel boot loader and boot order (UEFI, initramfs).
  • Deep understanding of identifying memory leaks and system performance bottlenecks.
