About The Position

EOA Technologies is seeking a Senior Linux Systems Administrator on one of our subcontracts. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer.

Requirements

Possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance
IAT Level 3 Certification
Senior level Linux Systems Administration experience
Experience with VMWARE, vSphere, VCF (VMware Cloud Foundations)
Bachelor's degree with twelve (12) years of relevant experience, or, High school diploma with twenty (20) years of relevant experience, or, Associates degree with fifteen (15) years of relevant experience or bachelor’s degree with twelve (12) years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

Server and Hardware maintenance
Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring & problem resolution for all the client/server/storage/network devices, etc.
Configure and manage Linux, and possibly Windows operating systems, installs/loads operating system software and patches to maintain security compliance, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating system enhancements to improve reliability & performance.
Support the design of systems, mission architecture, and associated hardware.
Patching and updating Linux distributions regarding security findings.
Adding / Removing users and setting permissions to meet certain user privileges.
Working with STIGs and fixing/updating vulnerabilities with STE/STN findings.
Renew Linux server certificates and applying updates to TLS security versions.
Working with automation software such as ANSIBLE to streamline updates and patching.
Updating documentation such as SOPs with problems and solutions for the team’s knowledge base on Confluence.
