Requirements

5+ years of experience administering enterprise Linux environments (CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu, or similar).
Advanced knowledge of Linux system administration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and security best practices.
Proficiency in Bash, Python, or other scripting languages used for automation and infrastructure management.
Experience deploying and managing virtualization platforms and containerized workloads, including Kubernetes and Libvirt.
Familiarity with networking technologies, including routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, and DNS.
Experience configuring and supporting web servers, databases, caching solutions, and distributed storage platforms such as Ceph.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex platform and customer-facing issues.
Excellent communication, documentation, and mentoring skills with the ability to collaborate across technical teams.

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of Cumulus Linux, PHP routing, and related infrastructure technologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

Mentor and train Junior System Administrators and System Administrators to develop technical expertise and operational best practices.
Lead technical projects from planning through implementation, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
Manage incident response activities for escalated issues, coordinating resolution and communication as needed.
Perform the setup, configuration, and ongoing management of internal infrastructure virtual machines (VMs) and services.
Plan, stage, and deploy platform upgrades and updates across the server fleet.
Provision and configure software on new nodes to support production and development environments.
Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for platform and customer-reported issues.
Install, configure, and commission servers by deploying required operating systems, software, and services.
