About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Senior Line Cook to support daily kitchen operations and help maintain high standards for food quality, consistency, cleanliness, and ticket times. This position is designed for a tenured cook who can be trusted with added responsibility on the line while continuing to work as part of the kitchen team. The Senior Line Cook plays an important role in keeping service organized, stations prepared, and food going out correctly and on time. This is not a management position, but it does require strong cooking skills, a sense of urgency, attention to detail, and the ability to help keep the kitchen running smoothly during prep and service.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a line cook required
  • Strong cooking skills and understanding of basic kitchen operations
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Ability to follow recipes, prep lists, and direction consistently
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work well with others
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Flexible schedule required
  • Must be available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Hotel, restaurant, or high-volume kitchen experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, specifications, and presentation standards
  • Set up, stock, and break down assigned stations properly for service
  • Help ensure food is prepared in a timely manner and sent out accurately
  • Maintain consistency in portioning, quality, taste, and presentation
  • Monitor product levels and communicate prep or inventory needs to kitchen leadership
  • Assist with organizing prep, labeling, dating, and proper food storage
  • Support smooth kitchen flow by helping keep stations clean, stocked, and service-ready
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards at all times
  • Assist with training and guiding less experienced cooks through example and day-to-day support
  • Help uphold kitchen standards for organization, urgency, teamwork, and accountability
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, including equipment, tools, and surfaces
  • Follow all company policies, kitchen procedures, and health department regulations
  • Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
