About The Position

Our client, a modern Asian fusion restaurant is seeking an experienced and highly disciplined Senior Line Cook to lead execution on the hot line. This role is responsible for preparing and executing hot dishes with precision, speed, and consistency in a high-volume, chef-driven kitchen. The Senior Line Cook will play a key role during peak service, working across stations such as sauté, grill, and wok to ensure dishes are executed to the highest culinary standards. This position requires strong technical cooking skills, organization, and the ability to perform efficiently during fast-paced dinner service. The ideal candidate thrives in high-energy kitchens and brings a strong understanding of modern Asian cuisine, bold flavors, and refined presentation.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in high-volume or upscale restaurant kitchens.
  • Strong technical cooking skills across sauté, grill, or wok stations.
  • Experience working in Asian or Asian fusion kitchens preferred.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced service environment.
  • Strong knife skills and understanding of ingredient preparation.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Food Handler or ServSafe certification preferred.

  • Experience with wok cooking and Asian flavor profiles.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook hot dishes across sauté, grill, and wok stations.
  • Execute menu items according to recipe, plating, and timing standards.
  • Maintain consistency in flavor, temperature, and presentation.
  • Coordinate with expediters and other stations to ensure smooth ticket flow.
  • Work the hot line during peak service periods with speed and efficiency.
  • Maintain composure and organization during high-volume dinner service.
  • Support kitchen leadership in maintaining quality control across all dishes.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior line cooks.
  • Execute daily prep lists for hot line stations.
  • Maintain proper portioning and organization of ingredients.
  • Ensure sauces, proteins, and vegetables are prepared and stored properly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards.
  • Support kitchen operations and assist other stations when necessary.
