About The Position

The ALDO Group, a leader in stylish and accessible footwear, handbags, and accessories for over 50 years, operates more than 1,500 stores in over 100 countries under the ALDO and Call It Spring brands. This role is a Senior Line Builder position focused on leading the vision, strategy, and execution of a key product category. The position is responsible for developing commercially successful assortments, driving category performance, managing the product lifecycle from concept to launch, and leading a high-performing team. The role oversees approximately 600 SKUs annually and significantly contributes to global sales performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Design, Merchandising, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in product development, merchandising, buying, or line building within the fashion retail industry.
  • Proven track record of leading product categories and delivering strong commercial results.
  • Experience managing and developing teams.
  • Strong understanding of assortment planning, sourcing strategies, pricing, and retail financial metrics.
  • Experience working with global suppliers and sourcing networks.
  • PLM experience is an asset.
  • Ability to travel internationally.
  • Strategic and commercial mindset.
  • Strong leadership and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Analytical, results-oriented, and data-driven.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Define category strategy, seasonal product direction, and assortment architecture.
  • Translate consumer insights, trend research, and market opportunities into compelling product assortments.
  • Partner with Design, Buying, Planning, Product Development, and Sourcing teams to deliver profitable collections.
  • Lead line planning, product selection, pricing strategies, and sourcing decisions.
  • Monitor category performance and make data-driven assortment and business decisions.
  • Ensure successful execution of product calendars, GTM milestones, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Drive product innovation, process improvements, and speed-to-market efficiencies.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor and sourcing partnerships.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Line Builders, Assistant Line Builders, and Designers.
