About The Position

Grindr is seeking a Senior Lifecycle Marketer to build and lead their lifecycle marketing efforts from the ground up. This role involves overhauling the existing Braze instance, developing and implementing CRM programs, and transforming customer relationship management into a measurable revenue driver for Grindr's 15M+ users. The position is a high-ownership, hands-on role within a fast-moving, scrappy team, operating under Grindr's 'Grindr Mode' philosophy of achieving outcomes without burnout. This is a hybrid role based in the New York office, requiring in-person attendance on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Requirements

  • Experience rebuilding lifecycle infrastructure.
  • Understanding of subscription and community-driven apps (dating, social, freemium), including drivers for free-to-paid conversion and retention.
  • Experience working with AI and exploring its applications.
  • Management experience combined with an individual contributor mindset.
  • Experience in CRM platforms, specifically Braze.
  • Ability to think in systems and journeys, not just one-off sends.
  • Experience in experimentation and data-driven iteration.
  • Strong cross-functional partnership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Build and run always-on programs across the full user journey: onboarding, free user retention, monetization, reactivation.
  • Develop and manage an always-on experiment roadmap, including hypothesizing, building, launching, measuring, and iterating on experiments to drive subscription revenue and retention.
  • Inherit and overhaul the Braze CRM instance, ensuring clean architecture, documented journeys, smart segmentation, and expanding channel coverage.
  • Partner with Product Marketing, Product, Brand, Data, and Engineering on feature launches, go-to-market strategies, and marketing moments, serving as the lifecycle expert.
  • Build processes for scaling Lifecycle Marketing, including intake, prioritization, execution, and quality assurance.
