About The Position

Leidos is seeking a Senior Life Cycle Manager to support cutting-edge engineering efforts within the Undersea Systems Division (USD). This role is a unique opportunity to drive innovation in remote vehicle systems and maritime sensors that support critical defense and national security missions. You'll support a multidisciplinary project team developing advanced maritime technologies on a part-time, consulting basis. Requirements

Minimum of 20+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, and product support, with a strong focus on life cycle sustainment for Navy systems.
Demonstrated expertise in logistics planning, reliability analysis, asset management, and product/system life cycle methodologies
Deep knowledge of government and industry standards and tools related to life-cycle support, training, documentation, and repair
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
Experience mentoring and developing cross-disciplined technical teams

Nice To Haves

Experience in the US Navy programs, contracts, and mission requirements
Training sessions and knowledge transfer to internal team members

Responsibilities

Lead the development and implementation of life cycle product support and logistical strategies, frameworks, and best practices for key technologies Leidos is developing
Provide subject matter expertise in reliability, maintainability, and total cost of ownership analysis
Support cross-functional teams in integrating life cycle considerations into design, development, and operations
Conduct assessments of current product development and support processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and sustainability
Guide root cause analysis, failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) efforts
Teach leads and engineering team members how to build internal life cycle engineering capability for long-term product support and sustainment.
Support and guide the development of documentation, standards, and training materials to support long-term adoption of best practices
