About The Position

Schneider Electric has a hybrid (2–3 days per week onsite) Senior Legal Counsel opportunity for candidates with at least five years of commercial contracting experience, based in one of the following hub locations: Boston, MA; Nashville, TN; Raleigh, NC; Houston, TX or Chicago, IL. In this role, you will act as a strategic partner to various business units, providing legal oversight and leading the negotiation of complex equipment, software, and service agreements.

Requirements

A J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and active Bar admission in at least one state.
5+ years directly handling, drafting, and negotiating complex commercial equipment and service agreements.
Proven Experience on high value contracts in the Data Center or EPC space preferred
In-house experience is a plus; high-level law firm experience will be considered.
The ability to translate intricate legal concepts into clear, actionable guidance for global teams.
A proactive, "solution-oriented" negotiator with a high-energy approach and meticulous attention to detail.
A strong commitment to serving as an engaged, collaborative partner to the business.
An intellectually curious "lifelong learner" who stays current on legal, technology, and business trends.
Comfortable leveraging legal technology and supporting new projects that incorporate tech-driven solutions.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

Lead the drafting, analysis, and negotiation of complex sales, software, and service agreements of varying scope and complexity.
Serve as a dedicated business counsel, providing actionable legal advice to internal stakeholders to support product offerings and customer projects.
Provide proactive "pre-dispute" guidance to mitigate risk and resolve customer conflicts early in the process.
Drive thought leadership by developing best-in-class contracting templates, clause libraries, and negotiation playbooks.
Ensure business activities, policies, and transactions align with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Develop and deliver legal training programs to internal business clients to enhance their commercial fluency.
