About The Position

The Faculty of Education is seeking to appoint two academics to contribute to excellence and innovation in mathematics and literacy education from a learning sciences perspective. These positions support the University’s academic mission through impactful research, scholarly engagement and curriculum innovation, strengthening the Faculty’s leadership and broader academic profile in learning sciences and educational impact. The opportunity is available at Senior Lecturer (Level C) or Associate Professor (Level D), based on the successful candidate’s experience, expertise and demonstrated contribution to the field. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering and coordinating teaching across mathematics or literacy education from a learning sciences perspective, developing curriculum and learning materials, supervising honours and higher degree research students, and contributing to research and scholarly publications. At Level C, you will lead unit development, contribute to research projects, and support Faculty initiatives and committee activities. At Level D, you will provide academic leadership through research mentoring, curriculum planning, competitive grant development, staff supervision, and strengthening national and international partnerships.
