About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a LEAN PRACTITIONER (LEVEL 5) to join our BOEING COMMERCIAL AIRPLANES LEAN OFFICE AND INTEGRATION TEAM. This role involves instructing others in continuous improvement tools and principles, developing and updating instructional materials, and seeking out new tools and techniques. The practitioner will tailor messages to specific audience levels, mentor instructors and leaders, and guide the effective application and integration of LEAN implementation. Responsibilities include leading complex process improvement efforts, developing integrated strategies, applying improvement processes across the extended enterprise, leading the development of new improvement tools, benchmarking best practices, and leading the improvement and standardization of enterprise policies and procedures. The role may also involve participating in business acquisition, offset, or proposal processes and assessing business capability and capacity. The successful candidate will apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach, leveraging knowledge of manufacturing processes, Lean Six Sigma, safety, quality, productivity, and affordability to shape Boeing Production Systems solutions.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience implementing lean principles, to include identifying opportunities and making recommendations for value stream improvements that resulted in improved business position through culture transformation
  • 8+ years of experience planning and facilitating Lean+ workshops (e.g., BPSM /AIW / 3P / Kaizen / VSM, Process Mapping, AIW, DK)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Project management certification
  • Knowledge and application of the Boeing Production System (BPS)
  • Previous experience with business case development, stakeholder alignment, benefits capture, institutionalization, and continuous improvements
