Senior Lead Technology Engineer
About The Position
PAE is seeking a visionary and highly technical Senior Lead Technology Engineer to provide high-level project leadership and discipline management within our technology department. In this role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of complex building projects, serving as a primary technical resource and mentor for the company. You will leverage your extensive knowledge of converged infrastructure; including telecom, audiovisual, security, and healthcare systems, to deliver innovative, code-compliant solutions while providing guidance to junior engineers and fostering strong, long-term relationships with clients and partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree for discipline work or equivalent work experience
- Relevant professional credential (i.e. PE, CTS, RCDD, PSP)
- Requires a minimum of 2-4 years Technology Engineer 3, or 5-10 years’ related work experience
- Inspire and motivate staff
- Serve as a technical resource for the company
- Advanced understanding of technology design concepts and ability to effectively communicate design options to a diverse stakeholder group
- Thorough understanding of project phases and their associated deliverables
- Strong delegation skills
- Proactive and effective communicator
- Attention to detail and advanced organizational skills
- Knowledge and application of NEC and relevant building and energy codes
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Revit/AutoCAD
Responsibilities
- Project team leadership and discipline management, responsible for completing the project on time and within budget
- Responsible for the preparation of deliverable documents including narratives, calculations, drawings and specifications
- Attend client meetings, lead the coordination effort between external and internal project teams
- Independently evaluate and apply design judgment, techniques, and procedures to complete a project from concepts through construction
- Extensive knowledge of converged infrastructure and ability to lead the design of telecom, audiovisual, security, healthcare and other technology system
- Assemble effective project teams
- Develop project workplans, tasks and assignments for the team
- Thorough understanding of interdisciplinary coordination
- Advanced understanding of the application of building codes and technology industry standards
- Oversee calculations and equipment selection
- Prepare and review opinions of probable construction costs
- Perform site visits and issues reports
- Provide training, guidance and mentorship for staff
- Provide updates to master specifications and standards, and improve company processes
- Develop client relationships
- Oversee the application of the project quality management plan (QMP)
- Perform other duties as assigned
