About The Position
As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Chief Technology Office's Engineering Services & Platforms organizations, you will collaborate across agile teams to enhance, build, and deliver trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. You will apply extensive engineering expertise to challenge the status quo, promote innovation for business impact, and help lead the strategic development of new and existing products and technology portfolios. You will also stay current with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 5 years of applied experience.
- Practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
- Demonstrated experience influencing across functions and teams and delivering value at scale.
- Experience applying expertise and new methods to solve complex technology problems across various technical disciplines.
- Practical cloud-native experience.
- Expertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
Nice To Haves
- Expertise in Java, Maven, JUnit, Markdown/AsciiDoc, Spring and Spring Boot, Git, Jenkins, Maven Repositories, JIRA, Confluence, and Sonar.
- External and internal developer advocacy experience.
- Stack Overflow Q&A engagement; moderation experience is a plus.
- External conference speaking experience, such as JavaOne, Devnexus, or Java User Group meetups.
Responsibilities
- Help guide and apply the development of multiple products, applications, and technologies across a portfolio.
- Create novel code solutions and drive development of new production-code capabilities across teams and functions.
- Translate highly complex technical issues, trends, and approaches for leadership to support innovation and well-informed strategic decisions about technology advancements.
- Drive adoption and implementation of technical methods in specialized fields in line with current product development methodologies.
- Create durable, reusable software frameworks leveraged across teams and functions.
- Influence business, product, and technology teams and successfully manage senior stakeholder relationships.
