Senior/Lead Software Engineer (IAM)

ArriveCapon Bridge, WV

About The Position

We are looking for a Senior/Lead level engineer to join our Identity & Access Management team at Arrive. Our IAM platform secures access for millions of users across our mobility products. This role involves maintaining and stabilizing a production identity system while helping to define and execute a transition to a modern, company-wide Identity Provider (IDP). The successful candidate will work within the Developer Experience platform organization and will help shape the transition path. The role requires keeping a production IAM system secure, stable, and well-understood, including proactive vulnerability management, dependency hygiene, and critical fixes. The engineer will contribute to or own the technical roadmap for maintenance, improvements, and migration to the new unified IAM platform. Collaboration with product teams across the business to define migration approaches and drive adoption of the new platform is key. Additionally, the role involves shaping engineering standards (code review, security practices, architectural consistency), representing the team in cross-functional conversations, clear communication of trade-offs, knowledge sharing through documentation and mentorship, and participating in on-call coverage.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of programming experience
  • Java and Spring Boot
  • Microservices architecture
  • Familiarity with CIAM concepts — authentication and authorisation — in production systems
  • A track record of making and defending technical decisions, or a clear and demonstrated progression toward doing so

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with OpenID Connect and/or SAML an advantage
