About The Position

This role leads the research, development, and stewardship of staff policies and people programs that support a positive and inclusive employee experience. Working in partnership with People & Culture colleagues, the role translates organizational strategy, values, and EDIA commitments into clear, practical policies, processes, and programs that enable modern and flexible ways of working. The role leads policy and program review through a strong consultative approach to support the research, design and drafting of policies and programs for approval that are equitable, accessible, and well understood, contributing to a strong organizational culture grounded in fairness, transparency, and trust.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a field that provides foundational knowledge in organizational systems, policy development, and people practices required to design and steward people policies, processes, and programs such as Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 4-5 years of progressive experience in policy development, organizational development, people programs, or related people centred work within a complex organization.
  • Demonstrated experience applying an equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility lens to policy, program, or process design.
  • Experience working collaboratively across functions to design or improve people related processes, policies, or systems.
  • Practical understanding of equity-informed practices and how policy/process design reduces systemic barriers.
  • Knowledge of employment legislation and people policy/procedure development.
  • Ability to map, analyze, and improve end-to-end people processes, identifying risks, inefficiencies, and equity impacts.
  • Experience aligning policy intent, process design, and digital tools.
  • Strong consultative, analytical, and writing skills, able to translate complex requirements into practical guidance.

  • Training or certification in Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility or related fields is considered an asset
  • Organization Development Certification Program certificate is an asset
  • Change Management certification (e.g., Prosci) is an asset
  • Chartered Professional/Leader in Human Resources (e.g. CHRP, CHRL) is an asset.
