About The Position

Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Senior Mechanic – Lead Maintenance Supervisor at our Montgomery County Grinding Operations facility located in Derwood, MD and the Montgomery County Yard Trim Composting Facility located in Dickerson, MD. This position is responsible for performing the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment used for a variety of environmental projects. This role also provides supervision of maintenance staff and assists with overseeing daily project operations to ensure equipment reliability, safety compliance, and efficient facility operations.

Requirements

• Graduation from a standard high school or possession of GED equivalency certificate.
• 10 years experience performing installation, repair and maintenance of mechanical, electrical or electronic equipment in an industrial setting, including 7 years of supervisory responsibilities.
• Valid driver's license with less than 5 points.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

• Some facilities may require possession of a valid CDL.
