SENIOR LEAD HVAC INSTALLER
About The Position
Busby’s is seeking a highly skilled Lead Installation Technician who demonstrates advanced expertise in HVAC installation and system startup, with a strong commitment to customer service, precision, efficiency, and field leadership. This role involves leading installations, coaching and developing other installers, ensuring job completion with necessary materials, and proficiently using documentation and payment collection tools. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of duct sizing, design principles, and execute flawless startups and precision system charging, while also troubleshooting and resolving issues independently. The position requires professional installation of line sets and line hide.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of experience
- Truck-ready
- Advanced expertise in HVAC installation and system startup
- Strong commitment to customer service, precision, and efficiency
- Field leadership skills
- Proficiency in documentation and on-site payment collection
- Ability to execute clean, code-compliant low and high voltage wiring
- Solid understanding of duct sizing and design principles
- Ability to perform flawless startups and precision system charging
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and independently
- Ability to install line sets and line hide with professional results

Responsibilities
- Lead installations with confidence and set the standard in the field
- Coach and develop installers on proper procedures
- Completion of at least 80% of jobs without missing materials
- Proficient in ServiceTitan (preferred) documentation and on-site payment collection
- Execute clean, code-compliant low and high voltage wiring
- Solid understanding of duct sizing and design principles
- Consistent execution of flawless startups and precision system charging
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and independently
- Install line sets and line hide with professional, showroom-quality results

- Base hourly rate is $18-$25/hr based on experience. + install bonuses. We pay "flat rate" for installs.
