About The Position

The Lead Full-Stack Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting mission-critical applications supporting budget, financial management, and work program operations. This role serves as a senior technical contributor for modernization initiatives driven by enterprise financial system transformation efforts. The position works closely with business stakeholders, business analysts, architects, and technical leadership to deliver scalable, cloud-based solutions while providing ongoing production support and technical mentorship.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 15 or more years of experience as a full-stack developer or lead software engineer
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft .NET technologies including C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Web Forms, and ASP.NET Core
  • Strong experience developing modern web applications using React or comparable JavaScript frameworks
  • Experience with RESTful API design and development
  • Experience with Azure cloud services and cloud-based application deployment
  • Strong experience with SQL Server, Azure SQL, relational database design, and database development
  • Experience working with XML, JSON, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles
  • Experience designing and developing scalable enterprise applications
  • Experience delivering software through Agile development methodologies
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and production support experience
  • Experience collaborating with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing applications using the .NET / C# / Azure / React technology stack
  • Experience with Entity Framework or other ORM frameworks
  • Experience with Snowflake and enterprise reporting solutions
  • Experience supporting financial systems such as PeopleSoft ERP
  • Familiarity with Florida PALM, FLAIR, or government financial management systems
  • Knowledge of transportation budgeting, work program management, or financial operations
  • Experience with legacy mainframe technologies including CICS, TSO, or ISPF

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain custom applications supporting complex financial and budget management processes
  • Deliver end-to-end software solutions from requirements analysis through production deployment and support
  • Build modern, responsive, and accessible user interfaces using React or comparable JavaScript frameworks
  • Develop backend services, APIs, and business logic using Microsoft .NET, C#, and ASP.NET Core
  • Ensure applications meet performance, scalability, security, and reliability requirements
  • Participate directly in requirements gathering and discovery sessions with business stakeholders and product owners
  • Translate business requirements into technical designs and working software solutions
  • Collaborate with business analysts to refine requirements and validate proposed solutions
  • Serve as a bridge between business and technical teams to ensure successful delivery of solutions
  • Partner with technical leadership on solution architecture, coding standards, and technical design decisions
  • Design and develop RESTful APIs and enterprise integrations
  • Implement integrations with financial systems, enterprise applications, and external data sources
  • Ensure alignment with cloud-first strategies and enterprise architecture standards
  • Develop and deploy cloud-native applications using Microsoft Azure services
  • Utilize Azure services for application hosting, identity management, storage, and integrations
  • Design and support relational database solutions using Azure SQL Server and related technologies
  • Support reporting, analytics, and operational data requirements
  • Develop and execute unit, functional, integration, and user interface testing activities
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards
  • Support deployment activities across multiple environments
  • Deliver production-ready features within established release schedules
  • Provide production support, troubleshooting, and incident resolution for enterprise applications
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues
  • Participate in application support and operational readiness activities
  • Maintain application stability and performance following go-live events
  • Develop technical documentation, deployment procedures, operational runbooks, and support materials
  • Mentor developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing and technical growth
  • Promote best practices, continuous improvement, and code quality initiatives
  • Research emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing solutions
