The Senior Lead Finance Analyst, Strategic Analyst is responsible for leading complex analytical workstreams, valuation analyses, and strategic modeling as a senior individual contributor. This role applies deep technical and analytical expertise to high-impact questions without people-management responsibility and serves as an advanced resource on valuation, strategic analysis, and FSO modeling. This role performs work with a high degree of latitude and handles the most complex issues. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in finance, planning, analytics, systems, or strategic roles.
  • Demonstrated ownership of complex initiatives, models, systems, or programs.
  • Advanced financial modeling, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-support skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with data warehouses, BI tools, and enterprise data.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, controls, and enterprise operating models.
  • Proven ability to operate independently, manage competing priorities, and influence without authority.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex analysis for senior audiences.
  • Possesses expert knowledge of subject matter.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and refinement of valuation models and assumptions, including Adaptive-based valuation tools, to improve analytical rigor and usefulness for decision-makers.
  • Prepare and review ROE analyses and valuation outputs for Asset Management and leadership review, ensuring conclusions are well supported and clearly communicated.
  • Consult with Regional Finance on budget and forecast questions impacting valuation, helping align operating assumptions with analytical and investment frameworks.
  • Evaluate valuation sensitivities, scenario outcomes, and key assumptions to identify financial implications, risks, and opportunities.
  • Execute priority community deep-dive analyses, identifying financial risks, operational considerations, and upside opportunities that inform strategic action.
  • Support Community Operations new business evaluations through advanced scenario modeling, financial assessment, and comparative analysis of strategic alternatives.
  • Serve as a power user of Insight Adv / Data Warehouse by creating advanced analytical views and extracting relevant data to support complex strategic questions.
  • Develop and maintain standardized strategic analysis tools for recurring and ad hoc use, improving consistency, scalability, and analytical quality across the function.
  • Synthesize industry and market data into relevant financial insights that support leadership understanding of competitive, operational, and investment conditions.
  • Lead complex workstreams that require cross-functional coordination, independent analysis, and clear recommendations without direct management authority.
  • Lead FSO modeling, including preparation, analysis, reporting, and interpretation of results for internal stakeholders and leadership review.
  • Research and document key assumptions used in FSO models and partner with Audit on compliance requirements, support schedules, and methodology documentation.
  • Evaluate shifts in assumptions, model methodologies, and results to identify risks, emerging issues, and needed follow-up actions.
  • Provide advanced financial modeling, analytical problem-solving, and decision support across complex strategic initiatives, programs, systems, and enterprise questions.
  • Operate independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-impact analytical work with a high level of accountability and technical judgment.
  • Prepare executive-ready presentations, narratives, and analytical summaries that clearly communicate business implications and recommended actions.
  • Strengthen team capability by sharing expertise, reviewing complex outputs when requested, and helping refine tools, assumptions, and analytical standards.
  • Drive process improvements in modeling, documentation, reporting, and data use to improve efficiency and strengthen enterprise decision support.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
