About The Position

Requirements

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
Advanced in one or more programming language(s) - Advanced C++ expertise, supported by formal training or certification.
Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability in production.
Proficiency with C++ on Unix/Linux, including performance diagnostics and tooling. Scripting skills to automate development, testing, and operational workflows.
Strong understanding of software–hardware interaction for low-latency systems.
Experience creating and automating test strategies and plans for both functional and non-functional requirements, and executing them.
Depth in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines. Strong CS fundamentals: multithreading, memory management, object-oriented design.
Collaborative mindset: Work closely with Application Development, Business Analysis, and Operations teams.
Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, and supporting connectivity platform in C/C++.
Solid working knowledge of FIX and binary protocols, as well as market microstructure.
Experience with low-latency connectivity to FX, Commodities, Rates, Credits, Futures, and Options markets (such as LME, Eurex, CME).
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure.

Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
Adds to the team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
