About The Position

This position is for a Senior/Lead CT Tech at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center in Elizabeth City, NC. The role involves providing quality Computed Tomography (CT) Imaging to patients under the direction of a supervising physician, adhering to required protocol standards. The Lead aspect includes leading department operations and staff, acting as a liaison to Imaging leadership, and participating in system Imaging Committees. Sentara Albemarle Medical Center is an 182-bed facility serving northeastern North Carolina with approximately 650 employees and 150 medical providers, offering 25 specialties including emergency, maternity, orthopedics, medical, and surgical care in addition to outpatient laboratory, imaging, and comprehensive breast services. Requirements

  • ALD Radiologic Sciences Certification/Licensure CT
  • 2 years CT experience
  • Intravenous (IV) Competency required

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality Computed Tomography (CT) Imaging to patients under the direction of a supervising physician with adherence to the required protocol standards.
  • Performs Computed Tomography (CT) per protocol under the direction of a qualified physician.
  • Provides patient and family education.
  • Operates equipment safely.
  • Completes department documentation.
  • Maintains all equipment to be clean and operational.
  • Maintains adequate supply inventory for performing examinations.
  • Follow radiation safety regulatory guidelines.
  • Administration of CT Contrast per protocol.
  • IV Competency.
  • Cardiac Imaging Competency.
  • Acting as liaison to physician and supportive care personnel.
  • Leads department operations and staff.
  • Acts as liaison to Imaging leadership.
  • Participation in system Imaging Committees.
