About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking an Executive Director – Senior Lead Control Management Officer to join our Technology Control Management organization, with a specialized focus on Secure Network Services (SNS), and Security Architecture. This role provides risk and control oversight across critical cybersecurity infrastructure, network security, engineering services, and enterprise security platforms. The individual will partner with technology leaders to assess control effectiveness, drive risk reduction, support regulatory readiness, and strengthen operational resilience. Based on your portfolio alignment, SNS includes secure network and infrastructure services while engineering and architecture functions focus on secure-by-design capabilities and enterprise security platforms.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Risk Management or Financial Services Industry experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of network security, infrastructure engineering, cybersecurity operations, or security architecture.
  • Experience with control assessments, issue management, remediation, and regulatory engagement.
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience supporting Secure Network Services, Network Security, Cyber Engineering, Security Architecture, Cloud Security, or Security Operations.
  • Knowledge of NIST, CIS, COBIT, FFIEC, and cybersecurity regulatory expectations.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, or CGEIT.
  • Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure or cyber transformation programs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide control oversight for Secure Network Services, Cyber Engineering, Security Architecture, and Secure by Design.
  • Assess risks and controls supporting network security, firewalls, DNS, PKI, DDoS protection, secure connectivity, cloud security, and infrastructure resilience.
  • Lead RCSA, control evaluations, issue management, corrective actions, and remediation validation activities.
  • Challenge technology deployments, configuration management, change management, engineering standards, and operational processes.
  • Support audit, regulatory, and independent testing activities.
  • Develop risk reporting, metrics, and executive-level governance materials.
  • Partner with engineering and cybersecurity teams to identify control gaps and drive sustainable remediation.
