Fuse Energy is creating a fully integrated energy company: from developing solar, wind and hydrogen projects to real-time power trading and distributed energy installations. They are also building the Energy Network: a decentralised platform of smart devices that rewards users in Energy Dollars for electrifying their homes, shifting usage to off-peak hours, and helping balance the grid. This network strengthens grid stability - a critical foundation for scaling AI data centers and other energy-intensive industries. In this role, you will work closely within product to build the core digital infrastructure for a next-generation energy company, engineering backend infrastructure that is second-to-none.

Requirements

Demonstrable excellence as a Software Engineer
Ideally 2+ years experience
Proven ability to define and build complex systems
Hands-on experience shipping highly-available production systems
Clear communication

Nice To Haves

Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g. AWS CDK)
Experience in the Energy sector
Experience shipping consumer-facing products

Responsibilities

Constructing a real-time digital twin of our renewable generation and customer demand
Developing messaging interfaces with our third-party providers
Building high-volume pipelines for processing customer energy consumption
Build the backend of a world class energy app
Think on your feet and adapt to new business needs
Take ownership of projects and drive change
