About The Position

Landscape Architects are responsible for assessment, planning, evaluation, design, permitting, and construction support for projects involving outdoor spaces including parks, gardens, campuses, trails, green spaces, playfields, and natural areas. They use their training, education, experience, and professional judgment to prepare designs, provide direction, make decisions, and be in responsible charge of the resources and processes to meet the standard of care. This position is in person at the Sacramento Office and requires local travel for meetings and site visits.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in landscape architecture or a related field.
  • Landscape Architect Registration Examination (LARE) and the California Supplemental Examination (CSE) specific to landscape architecture in California is required.
  • Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, GIS, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Competency in research, calculations, design, detailing, cost estimating, and technical writing.
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive construction documents.
  • Ability to interpret record drawings, construction documents, specifications, and as-built documents.
  • Capability to perform technical reviews, follow quality assurance plans, and execute quality control processes.
  • Ability to problem-solve, communicate, and collaborate with peers and project stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated, mastered, and proficient abilities across project planning, technical aptitude, and teamwork.
  • At least 12 years of relevant experience.
