Master's degree in a science-related field; or
Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time laboratory experience, including six (6) months experience training or leading subordinate staff or students in the performance of assigned laboratory tasks; or
Associate’s degree in a science-related field and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time laboratory experience, including six (6) months experience training or leading subordinate staff or students in the performance of assigned laboratory tasks; or
High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time laboratory experience, including six (6) months experience training or leading subordinate staff or students in the performance of assigned laboratory tasks.
Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.

Responsibilities

Analyze fluid and tissue samples using established laboratory techniques
Prepare and maintain media, cultures, reagents, stains, and solutions
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
Track, store, and distribute specimens for analysis
Support different phases of scientific research projects
Maintain accurate records, reports, and data using computer systems
Monitor inventory and ensure lab supplies are stocked and organized
Follow safety, quality, and compliance standards at all times
Train and guide students, lab assistants, and junior team members
Stay current by participating in trainings, workshops, and continuing education opportunities
