Senior Lab Microbiologist │ Dakota City Plant
About The Position
Responsibilities will vary from performing a single procedure or work instruction to conducting multiple analytical microbiological or quality system procedures and work instructions in a food safety laboratory. Precision and accuracy in the performance of work instructions and data collection are essential. The team member must be able to maintain ISO records for process control and comply with all quality system and safety requirements. Initial proficiency testing must be successfully completed, and competency will be verified at least annually thereafter. The team member will be required to demonstrate proficiency and continued growth following training. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. The team member must be available to work at least one Saturday each month.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or two years of technical training in a laboratory-related field preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years of related laboratory experience preferred
- General knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
