About The Position

abra professional services is seeking a Senior Java Developer. We are looking for a skilled Senior Java Developer to join a development team and take part in building complex systems, solving technical challenges, and writing clean, elegant, and maintainable code. This role requires extensive hands-on Java development experience, strong expertise in microservices, REST APIs, databases, Spring Boot, and proven experience developing with AI tools. A full-time hybrid position based in Central Israel, with 1 day a week remote.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of proven experience in Java development – mandatory.
• Proven experience working with microservices – mandatory.
• Proven experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases – mandatory.
• At least 5 years of experience working with REST APIs – mandatory.
• Strong expertise in Spring Framework / Spring Boot – mandatory.
• Proven experience developing with AI tools, with an emphasis on Claude Code – mandatory.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong self-learning ability.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work with vendors.
• Skilled in working with AI tools – mandatory

Nice To Haves

• Experience developing in cloud environments – advantage.
• Experience working with EJB – advantage.
• Familiarity with Kafka or other messaging tools – advantage.
• Experience with React development – significant advantage.
• Relevant academic degree – advantage.

• Develop and maintain complex Java-based systems.
