About The Position

The Counterparty Credit Risk group at TD Securities is seeking experienced Java Developers to build the next generation of risk computation platforms. Requirements

8+ years of Java experience, with a strong understanding of JVM internals
Experience of the Spring stack and experience in microservice development using Spring Boot
Experience in designing and integrating with REST APIs, gRPC endpoints
Experience of messaging technologies (preferably Kafka)
Experience of Azure (preferable) or AWS, Google Cloud
In-depth understanding of the Python software development stacks, ecosystems, frameworks and tools such as Numpy, Scipy, Pandas, Dask, spaCy, NLTK, sci-kit-learn and PyTorch
Experience of NoSQL databases, Hadoop, distributed caching (Redis preferable), Big Data streaming technologies (Flink, Kafka Streams, Spring Cloud Stream), experience with RDBMS packages, demonstrable fluency in SQL
Experience of git, CI/CD toolset (Maven / Gradle), Jenkins, working within an Agile environment
Experience in collaborating efficiently within a global team
Strong communication skills
Demonstrable experience working in a fast-paced environment, and supportive of flexible goals aligned with business priorities

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of the following would be a plus: Scala, Angular, React, Excel integration, ELK, TypeScript
Knowledge of derivatives pricing and capital markets is a plus

Responsibilities

Architect and develop our risk applications in line with microservices patterns, distributed caching, and stream processing with a view to scale to hundreds of billions of computations daily
Architect and develop efficient on-demand pricing solutions
Deliver large scale P&L and risk impacting projects for the trading and sales function, in line with business growth opportunities and regulatory drives
Develop tooling and processes to enhance the efficiency of the team
Work collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams at TD to solve business and technology challenges
Provide technical leadership to the group and beyond, adopt a scalability and stability-first approach to design and implementation
Adopt a client-centric approach in support of our business growth models
Leverage industry standard DevOps practices and tooling for CI/CD, TDD and build tools
