Senior Java Developer
About The Position
In this role you will be responsible for working with teams across NM engineering to adopt and develop expertise in practices, tools and frameworks utilized for test automation. This would also include advising on best practices and industry standards for building quality into development. In most cases you would be embedded with a team for several sprints being a quality champion, advising on designing for testability, proper test automation, and a key spokesperson for the enterprise testing strategy. This role has a strong emphasis on being an enabler and coach to engineers. Must enjoy growing others and have a growth mindset.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience with JavaScript/Typescript and/or Java
- Experience with backend and frontend development - API's, micro-services, and web development
- Deep experience with Unit Testing using Jest or Junit
- Experience with Functional Test Automation using a modern framework (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress etc.)
- Experience with formulating and executing a test automation strategy
- Proficiency in DevOps (GitLab, CI/CD Pipelines)
- Proficiency with Agile principles
- Experience with training and mentoring others
- Excellent Communication Skills
