About The Position

Allied Consultants, Inc is a proudly Austin based firm with over 34 years of experience delivering top-tier technical and business professionals within Texas State Agencies. We are currently seeking an experience Senior Java Developer to play a key role within a high-impact technical services team. This contractor role is for a Senior Java Developer, and the position will work on the SCOR BAU EI parallel initiative. This role will be responsible for making updates to the SCOR Java. Updates include changes to business logic, updates to the user interface and business logic as well as extending reporting capabilities and the system data model. Supports application enhancements and defect corrections in maintenance mode. Supports applications in multiple environments with coding testing, peer reviews, documentation, defect root cause analysis, and troubleshooting as required. Maintaining code coverage, testing, and security policies and procedures is required. Available for on-call support as needed. Other duties as assigned and required by the unit operations.

Requirements

8 Years Required Experience in Object Oriented Programming (OOP) in Java programming language
8 Years Required Experience in applications development on J2EE platform
8 Years Required Experience in writing SQL for relational databases
8 Years Required Experience in RESTful web services on Spring platform
8 Years Required Experience working on Spring Aspect Oriented Programming like transaction management and security
8 Years Required Experience in RESTful web services on Spring platform

Nice To Haves

4 Years Preferred Experience with JUnit and Unit Test development
4 Years Preferred Experience with Angular UI Framework
4 Years Preferred Experience with Crystal Reports
4 Years Preferred Experience with PowerBI

Responsibilities

Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
Investigates problem areas.
Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
Making updates to the SCOR Java, including changes to business logic, updates to the user interface and business logic, and extending reporting capabilities and the system data model.
Supports application enhancements and defect corrections in maintenance mode.
Supports applications in multiple environments with coding testing, peer reviews, documentation, defect root cause analysis, and troubleshooting as required.
Maintaining code coverage, testing, and security policies and procedures is required.
Available for on-call support as needed.
Other duties as assigned and required by the unit operations.
