About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Senior Java Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution in Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract role for a senior Java Developer/Lead with extensive hands-on experience in the full development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, Spring Boot, Webservices (REST and SOAP), and experience in a DevOps environment with continuous integration and delivery. Experience in the payments domain is also a key component of this position.

Requirements

8+ years of hands-on experience in a Developer or Lead role
Solid computer programming experience with Java/J2EE, SQL, Spring, Spring Boot, Webservices (REST and SOAP), and HTML
Experience in DevOps, continuous delivery, and continuous integration
Knowledge of transactions, JaxB, JMS, JDBC, Weblogic, JBOSS, and MQ
Strong understanding of core Java concepts (streams, files, collections)
Experience with IBM MQ or Kafka and Oracle databases
Familiarity with the Payments Domain, Agile methodologies, and Containers

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Drools

Responsibilities

Serve in a hands-on Developer/Lead capacity
Review requirements and project documentation to understand the application and perform automation feasibility analysis
Assist with offshore and onshore task coordination
