About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java, along with Python, SQL, cloud technologies, and modern data engineering frameworks to build high-performance, enterprise-grade data solutions.

Requirements

6+ years of software engineering or data engineering experience.
Strong programming expertise in Java (Core Java, Java 8+, Collections, Multithreading).
Good knowledge of Python for scripting, automation, and data engineering tasks.
Advanced SQL skills with experience in query optimization and database performance tuning.
Experience building RESTful APIs and backend services.
Good understanding of data engineering concepts.
Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and metadata management.
Good debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of cloud platforms is preferred.
Experience in the Financial Services or Banking domain is preferred.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and backend data processing applications using Java.
Develop robust data ingestion frameworks, APIs, and microservices for large-scale data integration.
Utilize Python for automation, scripting, and data transformation where required.
Build and optimize batch and real-time data processing solutions.
Work with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources.
Design and optimize data models for analytics and reporting.
Develop data quality, validation, and monitoring frameworks.
Write and optimize complex SQL queries for high-performance data processing.
Collaborate with Data Engineers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions.
Participate in architecture discussions and provide technical leadership and best practices.
Troubleshoot production issues and implement performance improvements.
