About The Position

We are urgently hiring a Senior Java Backend Developer with extensive experience in AWS. This onsite position in Atlanta, GA requires a minimum of 10 years of IT experience, with a mandatory focus on recent Banking/Financial Services experience. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with various financial applications such as Payments, Commercial Banking, Retail Banking, Core Banking, Lending, Digital Banking, or Treasury applications. This role involves building secure, high-volume, mission-critical applications and requires strong communication and stakeholder management skills within an Agile/Scrum environment.

Requirements

• 10+ years of IT experience
• Java 8/11/17
• Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Microservices
• AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, ECS/EKS, IAM, CloudWatch, API Gateway, SQS/SNS)
• REST APIs & Enterprise Microservices
• Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB/DynamoDB
• Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git, Maven/Gradle, CI/CD
• Application Performance Tuning, Security & Cloud-Native Architecture
• Recent Banking/Financial Services experience is mandatory
• Hands-on experience with Payments, Commercial Banking, Retail Banking, Core Banking, Lending, Digital Banking, or Treasury applications
• Experience building secure, high-volume, mission-critical applications
• Agile/Scrum experience
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design and implement microservices and REST APIs.
• Utilize AWS services for cloud-native architecture and deployment.
• Ensure application performance tuning, security, and scalability.
• Work with various databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB/DynamoDB.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and participate in Agile/Scrum processes.
• Build secure, high-volume, mission-critical applications.
