About The Position

Amperity is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer to own the systems, integrations, and automation that keep the company running. This role involves engineering systems, connecting them, governing access to advanced platforms, and automating manual tasks. The engineer will tackle complex problems such as untangling data-platform permissions, building integrations for automated onboarding, and deploying new AI tools. This position requires close collaboration with Security, Engineering, and People teams, and sharing expertise within the IT team. Key attributes for success include strong technical depth, a focus on automation, and excellent judgment regarding risk and access.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years in IT, senior and hands-on, ideally in high-growth SaaS.
  • Hands-on governance for Databricks, Snowflake or cloud infrastructure.
  • Track record building integrations and automation.
  • Comfortable leveraging cutting edge AI tools to build efficiently.
  • Experience deploying and administering AI tools in a business setting.
  • Advanced SaaS administration and MacOS/MDM experience.
  • Working knowledge of Okta identity workflows (SSO, SCIM, lifecycle).
  • Experience with monitoring, backup, and recovery for critical systems.
  • Strong judgment on risk, access, and least-privilege.
  • Bias for automation; a pragmatic, creative problem-solver.
  • Clear communicator who partners directly with stakeholders.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, swiftly-changing startup environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build integrations and automation that cut manual work across onboarding, provisioning, and reporting, using AI-assisted tooling.
  • Design & support the employee identity lifecycle (onboarding/offboarding, SSO, SCIM) alongside the Security & People team.
  • Govern advanced data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake).
  • Evaluate, deploy, and administer AI tools, including access, licensing, and usage guardrails.
  • Administer the SaaS stack (G-Suite, Slack, Zoom, Atlassian, MDM) & their integrations.
  • Manage the MacOS endpoint fleet and MDM policy.
  • Build monitoring and automation to catch issues early and scale IT support.
  • Own backup, recovery, and continuity for critical systems.
  • Handle escalations and stay responsive to employees' day-to-day support needs.
  • Own IT documentation, asset and license management, SaaS spend, and vendor relationships.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Security, HR, GRC, & Engineering.
